Thailand's first plant for the production of turbochargers has been set up by IHI Turbo(Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Part of The IHI Corporation, IHI Turbo brings an abundance of expertise and advanced technology to manufacture the turbochargers. The company operates IHI's second factory in Asia. Supplying to automotive market domestic and overseas.
IHI Turbo (Thailand) produces three types of turbochargers. These components are used primarily in diesel-powered pickup trucks and gasoline-powered passenger cars. The factory at Amata City Industrial Estate has an annual production capacity of more than 1.5 million units.
IHI Turbo (Thailand) Co. Ltd, is a subsidiary of Ishikawajima – Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd (IHI)
One of Japan's oldest and most prestigious companies, IHI was founded in 1853, the year Commodore Perry,s black ships arrived at the shores of Tokyo Bay. The same year, Ishikawajima shipyard was founded.
